Oh, absolutely. Just look at [livejournal.com profile] alula_auburn's post below, referring to people whose honest reactions to situations were not only criticized but got them threatened. It's bad enough when people think they know how everyone reacts in these situations, but you see how easy that becomes the idea that you have the right to judge another person and draw conclusions from the most superficial things.

I hadn't thought of it this way before, but I think I like the fact that fanfic explores all these ideas in different ways, and that there are people who defend others rights to do so. During chan discussions a lot of people often express surprise that "saying they're against kiddie porn makes them the bad guy!" but the point is supporting kiddie porn isn't the issue.
