LOL! Oh, man, you see that happening so often. I even remember that as a kid, times when I'd get hurt and not even think of crying until somebody seemed to give me a reason to. You see it with babies a lot too, I think. If they fall down and mom acts like it's a terrible thing they pick up on that. If she just says, "Oops, get up again!" they do that.

Treating trauma seriously is a good thing; treating it very, very seriously does have the potential for making things worse.
