Thanks! I'm really happy to hear the history of the name. It's true Heidi is a not uncommon name in the US--I remember having trouble spelling it as a kid, never remembering how the vowels went. I knew more than one growing up. One girl whose name was Heidi had, iirc, either an Austrian mother or an Austrian mother and father.
