Yeah, the thing is if you try to hold up the characters individually and say one's better...it just doesn't work out that way. The women aren't weaker or anything like that. On the whole you would probably find weaker male characters (Peter anyone?). It's just the plot happens to rest on messier male relationships.

And I agree Lily's being saved for that last book.
