TNT is showing FotR and TT today, and I just saw one of my favorite moments. It's when Gandalf is just beginning to tell Frodo what is going on. He says, "This is the one ring..." Frodo is listening with concern and alarm...and pouring hot water from the kettle to make tea.
There's hobbits in a nutshell. They know the importance of tea in a crisis, and Frodo manages to make the brewing of it seem like the first step towards solving the problem.
