It is funny how people tend to overlook how the show pokes holes in the stereotypes--but I guess that's why those stereotypes are so popular. They're appealing! It's like with The Sopranos where the show was often showing how the gangsters were petty and cowardly, yet people still admired them as classic gangsters and overlooked those things.
