Re: Mr Slickhard for MOM!

At least the similiar scene in GoF had the Slythrerin Trio 'more menacing than before'. Although how one can be so terribly menaced by someone they spent all year laughing at, being annoyed by, but not once before or after frightened by; and still knock someone unconscious is not really explained...

"Even if I'm a character Malfoy's never spoken a word to I enjoy being able to hex him with a group of people."

Of course! It doesn't matter if someone doesn't attack you personally! The point was he dared to attack Harry, who as we all know should never ever be questioned on the smallest point, since no-one has ever Suffered!11 like him. Ever.

"In fact, I'd like to watch him be humiliated in front of his mother (rich as they are, which makes me jealous and makes them deserve this even more)!"

And doubtlessly they'll lose their money in the next book, and we can laugh even more! Because of course, laughing at Poor!Malfoy will be entirely different to him laughing at the Weasleys!
(I just can't wait for Book Six, can you tell? ;)
And of course, someone's mother seeing their son beaten up? COMEDY GOLD, PEOPLE!

"When last year that's pretty much what happened to the Slytherins--they were outnumbered, unarmed, had not attacked anyone. Only then the defense was that my goodness, he'd said something nasty about Cedric! Even though that scene had nothing to do with Cedric because nobody much cared about him personally but the Trio doesn't like to have Voldemort's triumph rubbed in their face! He just made them so angry they HAD to attack him. And since they're the good guys their anger is ALWAYS relevent!"

Heh, I made a similiar point when watching PS re: the Rememberall - when Harry's all 'Give it here, Malfoy' and I was like 'The fuck's it got to do with him, anyway? Apart from he is Harry Potter, righter of wrongs performed on Gryffindors (like James, in a way!)?'
My friend said 'He's just sticking up for Neville!'
And I said 'That had nothing to do with Neville! You get umpteen scenes of Malfoy looking annoyed at Harry's success, you don't get a scene of Harry visiting Neville in the Hospital wing, or inquiring as to his wrist, or even returning the damn thing. Not even in the book. That was a power struggle, and slapping a 'Good intentions sticker' over it is bullshit.'
