Thank you! Your kind of "recreational writing" does push the limits, though; I'd never have known you were "recreational." :) It's really nice to know there's some tolerance out there among people who are good writers!

"Be all you can be" is a great slogan for the US Army, but it just can't apply to everything in everybody's life. There aren't enough hours in the day.

I think after a while, people will get used to sharing the pool. I mean, when the BBC is running contests for fanfic (http://www.bbcamerica.com/britain/get_writing/get_writing_submission.jsp) . . . recreational writing is becoming an expected thing for kids (and the rest of us!) to do.
