Heh. I'd feel like a guy who stayed over with a woman who had kids. Like you're invading her home turf and stealing Mommy! ;) (We never had a dog, but our cousins did, and it was totally like a passive-aggressive child: it'd suck up to certain guests, or else snub them if it had an issue with it's owner. Cracked me up.)
