I know, the love/morality thing is dangerous to get into! But... Well, I didn't mean that love should result in morality, but that any morality one cares to set up should be based on love. If you like, love puts things in context, helps sort out what's important and what isn't as well as what's right and wrong, true and false. Really though, love should inspire more love, and morality is a pain in the arse! Ah, H/G a is kind of love, and what harm does it do? All they do is laugh and snog and feel happy. The books are full of love! Why do Harry and Ron go into the Chamber of Secrets or Harry and the rest of them go into the Department of Mysteries if not for love?
An indication of how lightly we should treat morality in HP is given by Malfoy's breaking of Harry's nose at the beginning of HBP. I was horrified when I read it. "How brutal, nasty and wrong!" I thought. Harry was merely embarrassed! This doesn't mean that the real evil of Voldemort should be laughed at, just that some things aren't important and some are.
