gramarye1971: exterior of the National Archives at Kew (Kew Historian)
From: [personal profile] gramarye1971
I saw The History Boys as well when it was playing at the National Theatre, and I cannot WAIT for the film version that's apparently in production. It's definitely one of those plays that gets inside your head and just starts triggering emotional responses or at least some kind of visceral reaction, or at least that's what it did to me. Then again, I love Alan Bennett's work for precisely that reason -- he always manages to say the things that get a response out of me.

By the by, what did you think of the scene where Hector actually flips out in class? I have never heard a theatre go so dead silent in my life -- talk about hearing a pin drop.
