LOL! It's true about the BNF/BFD. It's a weird thing about fandom that it really draws people who tend to think or overthink things, and that includes their own involvement in fandom. If people didn't ask themselves why fans do what they do there might be a lot less angst in fandom, but they do, and they ever will!
