Oh, sure. But I got the impression part of the problem was that it wasn't just on the level of a political argument. I think that would have been easier to work around or not talk about as much--as huge as fights like that can be in families.
(I remember before the last election my mother telling me there was some gathering of some group of my family that almost came to blows or something like that. And I can't even remember a similar political fight in my family!)
