I am so holding out hope that this is somehow revisited in 7, because it's just bizarre the way there's this amazingly huge scene and by the end of the chapter until the end of the book Harry's responding to it as if he tripped Malfoy in the hall or something. Draco literally disappears from his consciousness except for somehow being behind those annoying Slytherins who are taunting him with no description of what they're saying. (Is that taunting, exactly? Or is it more like, "Stay away from us, you psycho! You almost killed our friend!") He never thinks of Draco again, there's no awkward moment when Draco returns to class, and at the end of the year Harry's still hating Draco for his obsession with the Dark Arts.
