I want to pimp a post here that I've yet to even answer myself, but it's very cool.alula_auburn is an MFA student taking a class in "Uncreative Writing" and she's doing a paper on fanfiction, trying to demonstrate "that fanfiction, at least sometimes, serves as the vehicle for legitimate critical response to a text."
She's looking for comments and also maybe some good fic recommendations that deal with subjects like the racism/fascism analogies, Dumbledore, moral structure, evil/villainy, Hogwarts as a place, and Harry's pov.
She explains it much better herself. And it's her first lj post in her own journal.:-)
