I was reading a discussion today about the Burt/Finn/Kurt scene in last night's Glee and was surprised to learn that apparently a lot of people thought Burt was out of line for his speech to Finn. Because I was sympathetic to Finn in the scene too (and figured that would be a minority reaction)--but I didn't think Burt was out of line. ( So I'm reposting what I said there--and adding to it--here because it was a really interesting scene that had a couple of things going on in it and that's unusual for Glee. )
