My biggest peeve is when a poster will react to someone's opposing argument with "How can you say that?" or "How can you know what it's really like to be depressed, picked on, fill in the blank?"

Plus it's so general, it could apply to anyone:
I can't dislike Harry, because I've never been emotionally abused by my aunt and uncle.
But then Harry can't dislike Draco because he's never been brought up by a Deatheater.
Hermione can't dislike Pansy, because she's never been in a marginalised/victimised house.
It could go on forever...

JKR projects too. She obviously had issues with boys like Draco growing up, which is why she seems to delight in humiliating him so.

It's so odd, because...dude.
You're in your forties.
You're happily married, you have children, you have a successful career that earns you billions.
You won! No matter what happened when you were at school, or work, or wherever; it's over now, and you've come out triumphant.
Get.Over.It.
Otherwise you look like your own characters, bitter and angry twenty years after events.
