Yes, it's really not enough to reduce any election to a simple action--even the US one, really. It's like recently there's been a lot of focus on what the Democrats did wrong--which is good. But also there's times where I feel like it kind of slips over into something that seems sort of foolish, like people should need to be coaxed and bribed into acting in their own best interests. If Bush manages to convince people he's "one of them" while acting against them and not being one of them then that's a good skill he's got, but it's also the decision of people to want to believe that.
