You know, I wasn't going to do this poll at first, but looking at the results on my flist made me curious. Besides, I've never done a poll before.

You named yourself after a bird and specialise in analysing and theorising. Do you really need to take this poll?

what she said.
double.
though, [livejournal.com profile] mizbean and I are waffling on about how fun it would be in Hufflepuff.
:D

Yeah, that's the thing...I can't even imagine myself anyplace else. I'm amazed doing other peoples' polls because for so many people it's a toss-up. I seem like a no-brainer to myself.

i don't think I've every seen such a unequivocal sorting-poll before!

"the Hat barely touched her black hair with blue tufts, when it yelled out, 'Ravenclaw!'"
ext_6866: (At home)

From: [identity profile] sistermagpie.livejournal.com

That's what I was thinking...but then I thought hey, I wonder if I'd get 100% sorted. I couldn't honesty think of any other house I'd go in.

From: [identity profile] mariagoner.livejournal.com

Sistermagpie could honestly not be anything other that Ravenclaw-- and if she somehow, someway, ended up in another house, she'd probably be like a vastly less homicidal and annoying version of Hermione-- suspected of being one covertly. Still, I'm impressed she managed to get 100% of the vote for that house alone! I thought at least one iconoclast might vote, I dunno, Hufflepuff.

Hee! Seriously, it does sound like a horror movie, me placed in any other house. Aaaaahhh!

From: [identity profile] yourpoison.livejournal.com

...In retrospect, if I knew I'd have gone against the tide on principle, but. I still can't think of where else to randomly pick.

I'd think Gryffindor would be worst, but then I think, no, Slytherin would be worst, and then no, how much better would Hufflepuff be?
I can't even rate the other houses in degrees of unsuitedness :D

From: [identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/_rp_zeal_/

Gosh this is the easiest poll I've ever done. I don't think you can even *breathe* let alone stay sane in any other house!

From: [identity profile] ackonrad.livejournal.com

Dude, you're practically the easiest person to sort in my entire flist. Looking at the results, I'd say that everyone else agrees with me. :)

I just looked at the results and they crack me up. I'm the easiest person to sort on my own flist as well. I may need some balance in my life.:-)

From: [identity profile] slinkhard.livejournal.com

Hee!

This is so weird, I was just checking out sorting communities today!
Someone I know makes wicked icons, but they only post them at this offshoot of hogwarts_elite (there's about 20!) and so I was thinking 'Jesus, do I really have to go through all this rigmarole and join up on my other account and do the application thing?'
Well, they're pretty damn picky! I didn't bother in the end, but I checked out some other peoples, and anything under about five paragraphs for every question (and there's about fifteen) was labelled 'Squib'.
And they're so bitchy! It's really hilarious, I might have to ask my flist to help write me an application.
It's very traditionalist - someone got 'squibbed' for not liking Neville, someone got 'squibbed' for having Draco as their favourite (apparently this is 'fangirlish' and 'pushing', ie. pushing for a house, in this case, Slytherin.) If they like you, they pick Gryffindor. It reminds me of this game my cousins play, 'Smeagol goes to Hogwarts' where their toys get sorted, except every toy is Gryffindor!
Plus, there are all these insane rules, like you have to do a certain amount of voting/making icons/whatever or you get 'expelled'. If you don't post enough, or tell them that you're on hiatus, you get suspended.

Smeagol goes to Hogwarts! That's hilarious!

It sounds like there's only one house, an annoying one, that's defined by people who are willing to do all that stuff. I can't imagine too many of the canon Gryffindors agreeing to any of that.

Also, I like that "Squib" is a personality trait. Maybe that's what happened to Filch is he liked Snape too much.

I feel I must now make some sort of Ravenclaw icon--and btw, am I the only person who finds it bizarre their house symbol is an eagle? I'll bet the Ravenclaws themselves are driven crazy by this.

From: [identity profile] slinkhard.livejournal.com

Isn't it? They invited me to sit in: 'You can be in Slytherin, cause you like the EVIL ONES and you're going to marrrrrrrry Draco *mimes kissing*' - kids. ;)
I abstained, on the grounds that I will not associate with Gryffindors. Even mini pretend ones.
So they stopped playing and invited me to join the Fellowship! ;)
(It's great, they get it all from the movies, they've never read HP or LOTR - thank god.
They are those fanboys/girls they warn you about!)

I'm just posting to say how amused I am that everyone's picked Ravenclaw.
ext_6866: (Swoop!)

From: [identity profile] sistermagpie.livejournal.com

It's very funny to look at. I'm feeling much house pride. And I knew Marietta was going to be the traitor.:-)

From: [identity profile] ishtar79.livejournal.com

Come on, you are the very definition of a Ravenclawl. They ought to change the House emblem to a magpie. :P
ext_6866: (Default)

From: [identity profile] sistermagpie.livejournal.com

It makes more sense than a damn EAGLE let me tell you. Ravens and magpies are at least related!;-)

From: [identity profile] go-back-chief.livejournal.com

Hee, 42 votes and everyone of them say "Ravenclaw". Why am I not surprised? ;-)

From: [identity profile] go-back-chief.livejournal.com

Btw, I'm regretting that I didn't check out the result before adding my own vote, I would have picked another just to create some balance.

Ravenpuff?

I'm crap at sorting people, can't even do myself, but I even I could eliminate Gryffindor. And Slytherin seems wrong, but although you're obviously mostly Ravenclaw, I think there's a little puff too. Not enough to sort you there, but you're much too nice and peacekeeping to bee all Ravenclaw. ;-)

Re: Ravenpuff?

What's funny is on a lot of the tests my second house comes out Gryffindor (with Slytherin last).

From: [identity profile] fictualities.livejournal.com

Bwah! I thought, "that's obvious" and discovered that fifty-six other people also thought it was obvious. You're the only person I've seen so far whose results have been unanimous. *buys you blue things*

From: [identity profile] anamirza.livejournal.com

Hahahahaha. Lovely poll.

By the way, at the art fair this weekend I saw this and thought of you. (Tragically do not have the sort of income that would allow me to pick up such gifts on a whim and post them.)

From: [identity profile] sistermagpie.livejournal.com

That's cool! Thanks for the link--don't worry about not buying it. We should all have that kind of disposable income.

From: [identity profile] caminx.livejournal.com

Did not even have to think twice. And after I looked at the results neither did anyone else ;)

From: [identity profile] firstblush.livejournal.com

holy frick. I don't think I've ever seen results so clear cut. Not even one person thought differently?
ext_6866: (100% Ravenclaw)

From: [identity profile] sistermagpie.livejournal.com

I know! Although a few people considered other houses just to break the tie.;-)

From: [identity profile] samaranth.livejournal.com

Oh.So.Tempting to choose something other than the patently obvious one. :-)

But I wonder, why is a raven represented by an eagle?
ext_6866: (100% Ravenclaw)

From: [identity profile] sistermagpie.livejournal.com

I DON'T KNOW! But I wonder if the corvids aren't being discriminated against because they're associated with dark magic and people think eagles are more courageous. *looks suspicious*

From: [identity profile] samaranth.livejournal.com

I thought of that, but why not just call the house after ELANOR EAGLEBEAK and have done with it?
ext_6866: (Boo.)

From: [identity profile] sistermagpie.livejournal.com

Ooh...conspiracy theory. Perhaps eventually the Ravenclaws will be revealed to have been the real bad guys, fanning the flames between Slytherin and Gryffindor and then feeding on the corpses!
