I can't believe it was a year ago I was shocked to hear the boy had a birthday and wrote him a song. I was sure when I wrote that that in a month or so he probably would have become hippogryff food. How weird that it really all did change, character-wise, right after this. Now the song's got all this new meaning!

Apparently having a birthday in HPverse is a big deal, it means the character is both 1. not completely rotten evil and 2. not going to die in the very next book after the birthday has been announced. These are the two rules that have upheld thus far, let's keep our fingers crossed about the length of survival ;-)

That song is excellent! I love it.

And it's true. Although, it's funny because I remember that last year, when there was so much less hope for him, there was so much more celebration of his birthday. I just remember fic lists and fanart lists and the daily_snitch having a bunch of stuff and this year, when his character has finally (sorta) peeked through that shell he hides out under, it's all so much quieter. Also, I was stupid and looked at the mugglenet thread. Just because that was about all that was listed.

I really think that next year, we should have a mean songs contest in honor of the big day. Just because it would be the perfect way to celebrate. XD
